About This Index

Powerchair Ranking is an independent ranking publication for power wheelchairs — the folding, travel, heavy-duty, all-terrain and premium chairs people actually buy with their own money, usually without insurance, usually after a fall or a diagnosis makes the decision urgent.

We publish standings, not advertorials. Every chair in the Index is scored by the same published method, from its maker's own documents, and no maker can pay for points, position or coverage.

How the site is funded

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing and never changes a score — a chair's points are fixed before its links are attached, and chairs we cannot link can still lead a division.

Contact

Corrections, document updates from makers, and questions about the standings go to one inbox: [email protected]. If a figure in the Index is wrong, send the maker's document that proves it — the standings will be corrected from the document, not from the claim.

What this site is not

We are not a dealer and we do not sell chairs. We do not take insurance, and nothing here is medical advice — seating and positioning for a specific body is a clinician's job. What we do is narrower and, we think, useful: read the documents, score the field, print the table.
